It is COMPULSORY to bring a head torch/flashlight, enclosed footwear that’s suitable for hiking the distance, weather proof jacket, snacks, minimum 2L of water and a mobile device.

Some participants will decide to challenge themselves further by trekking with weighted packs and vests, webbing and/or carry torsion bars. We strongly encourage you to read our "Fitness Considerations" section to gain insight if this is an appropriate decision for yourself.
Trek4Vets advise all participants not to drive post the trek and to arrange alternative transport home.

- Length: approx 16km
- Time: 4 to 5 hrs
- Terrain: Bush tracks, stairs, Steep uneven terrain, single file sections, fire trails.
- Pace: Brisk walk. Approximately 4.5 km/hr.
- Fitness Level: A moderate level of fitness is required to complete this trek.
- Experience: You do not need to have previous hiking experience to join in.
- Expectations: Although this will be a relatively difficult trek, its one that will be extremely rewarding to all who chose to come together and sacrifice a night’s sleep to remember the ANZACs and the ANZAC Spirit. The Trek is expected to take 4-5 hours, including a short stop for approx. ten minutes at the top of each hour or as required to refuel and adjust any equipment you’re carrying. This will also ensure we all stay together and progress through the trek with our trek team mates around us, all supporting each other. There are no toilets on the trek route. Trek4Vets Staff/Guides will be clearly visible during the trek and positioned at the front, leading the trek and postioned last in order of march, and lastly a roving staff member, who will also capture imagery to share at the completion of the Trek and the Dawn Service at the AWM.
- Parking: Trek participants are advised to park in the designated AWM carparks, however given the hour that we will be assembling for Trek Registration and to commence the Trek, parking maybe available on Cobby Street or Treloar Cres in Campbell.

- AWM Dawn Service complete. All Trek participants are requested to move back to the trek start point for a Trek Team photos.
