To generate a social and cultural groundswell that bridges the gap between both our military and civilian communities. We want to give civilians an opportunity to honour the ANZAC spirit and give back to those who have given everything.
Since 2015 Trek4Vets has hosted an annual event called Midnight2Dawn Trek that requires participants to sacrifice a night’s sleep and trek until dawn to attend their local ANZAC Day service. The trek is designed to give each group a greater appreciation of ANZAC Day and what it represents as a nation. By walking the 4–5-hours, participants have the time to collectively reflect, discuss and gain first-hand experience into the challenges that our ADF members are facing. This experience aims to bridge the gap between veterans and everyday Australians and forge a sense of camaraderie.
We are aware that physical exercise can be strenuous and participants risk serious injury, we therefore urge you to undertake a physical examination with your doctor prior to using any exercise equipment or participating in any exercise activity.
