Why Midnight2Dawn Trek
Trekking as one group to remember and pay our respects to all who have served and to the soldiers who've made the ultimate sacrifice.
The trek is designed to help make ANZAC Day more significant for each individual involved and to show gratitude by sacrificing some sleep and comfort before attending the dawn service.
Dean and Andrew’s objective is to eventually have groups trekking in multiple locations around Australia and beyond to help raise awareness as well as funds to support our returning veterans and families of the fallen.
Trek4Vets raises awareness and contributes funds towards our official charity partner Mates4Mates who's work strongly resonates with our own mission. A charity that actively changes the lives of current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members, and their families, impacted by service.
Mates4Mates supports current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members who have physical or psychological injuries as a result of their service, and their families. Through our services, we connect with thousands of Mates and families every year in Australia, providing support and care through difficult times.
An Australia where all members of the Military Family are supported.
An Australia where all members of the ADF community are supportedphysically, psychologically, and socially.

Can the event be cancelled?
In the event of a COVID outbreak we will be following the health advice given by the Australian Government. If the event organisers deem the evening to unsafe due to unexpected weather conditions we may find an alternative route. Only an Extreme Weather event will mean the organisers will cancel the event. Organisers also reserve the right to cancel the event for any other reason which may include but is not limited to terrorism or war. If the event is cancelled, re-routed or shortened, no refund of registration fees, fundraising monies or transfer to another event will be made. WE will be in touch with updates via the email address your tickets are emailed to in any of the above circumstances.
Does everyone need to carry a pack/weighted vest?
No this is not compulsory. Please see 'ENLIST' page of this website for important considerations when deciding if and what to carry military packs, weighted vests and/or torsion bars.

This is an endurance walk, not a race. Please speak with your Doctor/Health professional if you have any doubts. There is further information regarding the trek on the ‘ENLIST’ page of this website.
